Itinerary
Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley
We set off from Marrakech in the morning, climbing up the Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka. We visit the world-famous UNESCO heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and Ouarzazate. Continuing through the Rose Valley, we arrive at the Dades Valley where we stay for our first night.
Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the Todra Gorges to walk along its towering river canyon. We then drive through Erfoud to reach Merzouga. We spend our second night in a comfortable hotel on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, relaxing by the pool.
Merzouga Desert Discovery & Camel Trek
Today is dedicated to exploring the Sahara. We drive off-road to visit a nomadic family living in traditional tents and learn about their lifestyle. We visit the village of Khamlia to listen to spiritual Gnaoua music performed by locals. After exploring the old Mifis mines, we swap our vehicle for camels in the afternoon, trekking into the dunes to watch the sunset and stay in a luxury camp.
Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Ifrane - Fes
Watch the sunrise over the golden sand dunes before breakfast. We ride camels back to the village and travel north, passing through the beautiful Ziz Valley palm groves and crossing the Middle Atlas. We stop at the Azrou cedar forest to see Barbary macaques and pass through Ifrane before arriving in Fes in the evening.
