Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley
We depart Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. We stop to visit the fortified clay village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for many Hollywood blockbusters. We continue through Ouarzazate and travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Dades Valley for dinner and our hotel stay.
Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the Todra Gorges, where you can walk along the riverbed between towering vertical cliffs. After lunch, we proceed south to Erfoud and arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. We check into our traditional Kasbah hotel right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Merzouga Desert Excursion & Camel Trek
A full day dedicated to exploring the desert. We drive off-road to meet nomadic families living in traditional tents. We visit the village of Khamlia to experience spiritual Gnaoua music and enjoy a traditional Berber pizza lunch. In the afternoon, we swap our vehicle for camels, trekking across the golden dunes to our luxury desert camp, watching the sunset along the way.
Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - N'Kob - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate
Wake up early to catch a breathtaking desert sunrise. After riding camels back to Merzouga for breakfast, we drive to Rissani to visit its lively traditional souk. We then travel west through the rocky desert villages of Alnif and N'Kob, joining the lush Draa Valley palm groves. We drive north to spend the night in Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate - Fint Oasis - High Atlas - Marrakech
After breakfast, we explore the beautiful Oasis of Fint, a hidden green paradise near Ouarzazate. We visit the famous Atlas Film Studios before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass once more, returning to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
