Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
We depart Fes in the morning, driving south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We pass through Ifrane and Azrou's cedar forest, where we stop to see the wild Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, we cross the High Atlas and descend along the beautiful palm-filled Ziz Valley. In the late afternoon, we reach Merzouga. Swapping our vehicle for camels, we trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset and spend the night in a luxury desert camp.
Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Wake up early to catch a magical Sahara sunrise. Ride your camels back to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower before we set off. We visit Erfoud, known for fossil preparation, and then drive to the impressive Todra Gorges. Walk along the river between its 300-meter-high vertical cliffs. We continue to Dades Valley, driving through the stunning Dades Gorge rock formations, where we stay for the night.
Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
After breakfast, we travel along the Valley of the Roses toward Ouarzazate. We tour the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and the filming location for blockbusters like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. We then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m) before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
